MIRIAM
A mysterious and powerful life story essential to Yaweh's redemptive plan
by George E. Warner
"A personal vision, despite her youth, was the private and inspired selfless commitment of service to God. She would remain a virgin as testimony to love only the Creator. However, a year after her arrival in Nazareth to join her parents, she receives and reluctantly affirms an unexpected proposal of marriage. Shortly thereafter the concept of a virgin marriage becomes measurably compounded by the fact that she has just accepted her intriguing visitor’s offer to become the human mother of Yahweh’s own son. Now she must explain to her parents and future husband the fact of her pregnancy. Miriam follows the life and times of the holy mother, bringing to light the relationship between herself and her son, Yeshua, in a fresh and poetic way that will appeal to readers of all ages and denominations. Follow author George Warner on this journey through the tiny village of Nazara and beyond. "
EXCERPTS
Darkness came over the village, and Hannah lit a solitary lamp in the courtyard, a vigil light. The illumination shadowed the smooth dirt floor. Grandson and grandmother prepared beds in the courtyard. During the night Miriam woke, startled. Momentarily disorientated…for an instant unable to distinguish feelings or their meaning…somehow consciousness, awareness, knowing the cause of her awakening. The rhythm of her pillow, which had been Yousef’s chest, had stopped. The rattled breath sounds ceased.
Yousef she understood, had died.

Two days later Yeshua and Miriam walked back into Kefar-Nahum separated from the others who chose to remain in Cana. Their companions, consumed with the wedding, would use the extended opportunity to visit friends and relatives, spending quiet moments in the tiny village.
On the way home, neither son nor mother spoke of the wine.

“Lead us…me, Petros. We shall follow you…no matter the outcome…or future. Yeshua has told us…you are chosen. There is no other,” she continued, again moving closer…laying her head on his shoulder. “Please”, she whispered in his ear…”We need you.”
